      Sorry! I was referring to the clematis and the explosion of flowers just waiting to burst open – once I’ve left! My photo didn’t do it justice. That was only a snapshot of about a third of the whole plant, which covered most of the wall – and another, smaller one, over the gateway. All just smothered with those buds! What a display in store!

    The clematis is amazing! As for the trillium, I had to take a photo. It’s the first time I’ve seen one in the “flesh”, so to speak. I hadn’t realised just how fascinating they looked. My attempt at growing one failed miserably – a “no-show”!

    Thank you, Cynthia. It’s such a beautiful, secluded garden, surrounded with high stone walls (not a fence panel in sight!). A wonderful haven! Afraid I couldn’t tell you the plural of trillium!
